JACK POLYNOMIALS AS FRACTIONAL QUANTUM HALL STATES AND THE BETTI NUMBERS OF THE (k + 1)-EQUALS IDEAL

چکیده
We show that for Jack parameter α = −(k+1)/(r−1), certain Jack polynomials studied by Feigin–Jimbo–Miwa–Mukhin vanish to order r when k + 1 of the coordinates coincide. This result was conjectured by Bernevig and Haldane, who proposed that these Jack polynomials are model wavefunctions for fractional quantum Hall states. Special cases of these Jack polynomials include the wavefunctions of Laughlin and Read–Rezayi. In fact, along these lines we prove several vanishing theorems known as clustering properties for Jack polynomials in the mathematical physics literature, special cases of which had previously been conjectured by Bernevig and Haldane. Motivated by the method of proof, which in case r = 2 identifies the span of the relevant Jack polynomials with the Sninvariant part of a unitary representation of the rational Cherednik algebra, we conjecture that unitary representations of the type A Cherednik algebra have graded minimal free resolutions of Bernstein–Gelfand–Gelfand type; we prove this for the ideal of the (k + 1)equals arrangement in the case when the number of coordinates n is at most 2k + 1. In general, our conjecture predicts the graded Sn-equivariant Betti numbers of the ideal of the (k + 1)-equals arrangement with no restriction on the number of ambient dimensions.

Some Applications of the Fractional Poisson Probability Distribution
New physical and mathematical applications of recently invented fractional Poisson probability distribution have been presented. As a physical application, a new family of quantum coherent states have been introduced and studied. Mathematical applications are related to the number theory. We have developed fractional generalization of the Bell polynomials, the Bell numbers, and the Stirling num...

Quasielectrons and quasiholes in the fractional quantum Hall liquids obey fractional (including nontrivial mutual) exclusion statistics. Their statistics matrix can be determined from several possible state-counting scheme, involving different assumptions on statistical correlations. Thermal activation of quasiparticle pairs and thermodynamic properties of the fractional quantum Hall liquids ne...
متن کاملBraid Structure and Raising-Lowering Operator Formalism in Sutherland Model
We algebraically construct the Fock space of the Sutherland model in terms of the eigenstates of the pseudomomenta as basis vectors. For this purpose, we derive the raising and lowering operators which increase and decrease eigenvalues of pseudomomenta. The operators exchanging eigenvalues of two pseudomomenta have been known. All the eigenstates are systematically produced by starting from the...

We introduce the notion of entanglement measure for the universal classes of fractons as an entanglement between ocuppation-numbers of fractons in the lowest Landau levels and the rest of the many-body system of particles. This definition came as an entropy of the probability distribution à la Shannon. Fractons are charge-flux systems classified in universal classes of particles or quasiparticl...
